Can someone tell me the best and easiest roads to travel on from Brisbane to cairns towing heavy van ?

The Bruce Hwy is the quickest and easiest , But I don't always go that way I like a change from time to time

I spend winter in Townsville now, have done since 2013. I came up through Longreach etc the first year, twice in fact but the second time back was via the Bruce. I have been coming up and back to VIC via the Bruce since. Easy as. There are a few roadworks but don't cause any problems.
