Lake Hindmarsh.


Has anyone been to lake Hindmarsh in recent times. Does it still have water in it ?

It's been dry for around 2 years. Just a dusty, flat & cracked clay pan with weeds growing on it. Down the Jeparit (Wimmera River) end there was a small amount of water which would be gone now. We visit the area regularly.

As of September 2016 there is plenty of water in Lake Hindmarsh. It has two free camping areas & one shire run CP (4 Mile) on the southern shore. Shultz's Beach on the western shore is the best free camp.
