can't see any problems - it's a good double width bitumen rd - take it easy and enjoy the scenary. It gets very busy on weekends.

Just keep a little wider on the turns . As if you have a tail .. So van doesnt cut corners .

Shouldn't be a problem at all. Windy along that stretch at this time of year though. Look out for the almost permanent speed camera at Skene's Creek just before Apollo Bay.

Gday...

The Great Ocean Road is a great road to drive - it is very scenic and as a result has climbs and bends with good views.

There are places off to the left (when heading west) to stop and enjoy the views.

The only thing I would highlight is the problem that many 'overseas visitors' - often in Wicked Campers - drift onto the wrong side of the road.

These signs are all along the GOR but sometimes concentration seems to lapse hmm

Just keep an eye out around bends for campers drifting onto your side. hmm

Welcome to the gang fuller4848, enjoy here and out in the playground.

Enjoy one of the greatest drives around, great views but keep an eye on the road as it can get a bit tight on some bends and quite dangerous in bad weather. Take your time and enjoy.

Oh! Don't spend too long looking for the 12 Apostles mate, if you find 9, give up there. That was last I heard anyway.

Great road to drive. No free campimg along it and also watch out for the gravity traps. Speed cameras on down slopes. They caught me as the motorhome drifted 4 ks over. Lots of, Asian tourists in coaches and hire vehicles, but well worth the drive.

I drove my 28' Jayco motorhome along it many times and as others have said, stay alert and you will be fine. I lived down that way for 20 years and always found the drive along the GOR enjoyable.

Cheers

Hi , we have driven that road in our MH with no problems. The last time we travelled west it was Chinese New Year , very busy and lots of drivers not used to rhd. You should have no problems as the road is good.

If you keep going around the coast into SA the Limestone Coast between Port MacDonnell & Kingston SE is just as good.

Troy's first experience driving our 9m bus was from Adelaide to Melbourne on the Great Ocean Road. It is windy, but we've seen worse. Just stick to a speed you are comfortable with.
