Well despite the weather turning to crap the campers seem to be enjoying themselves. The conversations still seem to end up talking crap somewhere along the line but I think we have talked about lots of subjects and almosted righted the world. But Pipes needs backup..at the moment he is the only male here so roll on the morning and hopefully he will get some company..think he is over female chatter!!
There are 8 vans due in tommorrow and another 3 on Sat at this stage.
Weevil can now only make it for a day trip now and Wombat is on the sick list and he cant make it . Womby is out of hospital and taking it easy under drs orders. My thoughts are with Jen as he is not a good patient!!

Despite the weather turning to crap and Pipes being outnumbered by females all seem to be having a good time. We have tried to right the wrongs of the world.And Jules..Conversations still seem to turn to crap despite all the good intentions.!!
All going well we expect another 8 vans tommorrow and 4 on Sat with a couple of maybe's. Weevil can only make it for a day now and Womby is on the unwell list and is under drs order to take it easy at home . Much to his disgust I may say so.
So prayer caps on people and let us see if we can get more sunshine than rain ovef the weekend.

We hope to be there in time to savour those delicious fish and chips I have heard so much about

Bev and I may not be able to help you solve the rest of the world problems, but we shall certainly not try and add to them

Alas we must leave Sunday, and will therefore miss the fireworks

We have 10 vans here tonight with more arriving tommorrow. Have had a great fish and chip tea tonight. Was a tad cold out in the marquee so we went to plan d.e. or f ( not sure what plan we are up to now!!) And moved tables and chairs into the shed in front of the heater. We sat and chatted for a couple of hours and still havent righted all the wrongs of the world..maybe tommorrow that will happen. Cleaned up and realised there was not one photo taken!! So another job for tommorrow remembering to take photos.

And while it is bitterly cold it isnt raining so Thank you to whoever put in a word to the weather god for us.

We have returned home after spending a delightful Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning at the get together

On behalf of Bev (my better half) and myself, I would like to sincerely thank Sue and Phil, for the hospitality they showed to us

We also thank everybody at the get together for the kindness they also showed, and hopefully we shall meet you all again around the traps, many times into the future

The fish and chips, were in my opinion, better than any I have tasted, due to the company around the table

The cakes, and biscuits, which Sue had made, were also delicious

The Saturday night community meal was also very nice, due to once again being around nice people

We hope that you all had a nice Sunday evening watching the fireworks

As a bit of a landmark of how well we enjoyed ourselves, this was the first time that Bev had not asked me to set the TV up for her, it was also the second time this year, that I have had a beer

Tongue in cheek
It was mentioned that I had become a guru, in a short time
I said it was because of my good looks
As the people concerned had already seen me, then I had assumed that they knew that I was joking

As a sidenote, I use the keyboard, not because I wanted to become a guru, but as exercise for my fingers

Happy and safe travelling to everyone we had met

Glad you all had a good time and no rain, sorry we couldn't make it this time Sue & Phil, but maybe another day or the next one, like sometimes happens things of all sorts got in the way.  cry

Thanks Sue & Phil for your hospitality this weekend. Great company, the opportunity to check out other folks' rigs and share good ideas. We appreciated you ordering our fish 'n chips Friday night as we arrived an hour later than intended. You have a lovely spot there and it was a privilege to stay there - we hope to be able to do it again - many thanks once again from Kay & John

Another great get together,good company, lots of yummy food, fireworks, bonfires,and wild flower walks.smile
