I was there about a month ago, the detail in the painting is incredible. The town also has a very good campground, clean amenities, hot showers and a handful of powered sites, for $10 per night (pay at the pub).

Looks great! The Shire of Yarriambiack small community CP's at Brim, Minyip, Rupanyip, Beulah etc. are all great. http://yarriambiack.vic.gov.au/tourism/parks/ Unfortunately some of them are now almost permanently full of rusty old buses & the like which creates no room for traveling tourists.

Our land abounds in Nature's gifts, of beauty rich & rare. We'll be out there enjoying it somewhere, camped by ourselves much of the time.
Having recently spent 2 weeks at the Rupanyup CP, there was no sign of any rusty buses. don't denigrate what these local communities are trying to do without giving evidence.
The wife and myself traveled down to Horsham and when through Brim. Well worth the time we spent there. Sounds like a good idear to bring people into these small towns. Hope this project will bare fruit and not get bogged down in the politics.
Well worth the time and effort to go and see Brim's silo. The size will blow you away ( as it did us )

Half of our family heritage is from around that area (Murtoa) & we still have relatives there, we love it. In the warmer months those CP's are packed to the rafters with long term stayers which leaves little room for people ''passing through''. You obviously visited in the off season when everyone has gone North to warmer climates so naturally there would be plenty of room for tourists. By adding a Shire tourism link to our post we were actually promoting the area not DENIGRATING it.
