perth boarding kennels

hi all,

i'm heading to w.a in august.  have tentatively selected a cp for me and boarding kennel for fred for a few nights.  the cp at midlands advertises dog allowed and minding during the day but only for small dogs.  i'm often puzzled by the reason little dogs are acceptable but not big dogs.  surely it's the dog's demeanor that's important?

would be grateful for some info from other dog lovers who've been there, done that.  would prefer the 2 facilities to be reasonably close together.

cheers and safe travelling

Frednme sorry can't help you with any suggestions of facilities in w.a. but maybe can answer your question of why little dogs and not big dogs? It could be, the fencing requirements for big dogs, or, it could be the owners have small dogs of their own and even the friendliest of big dogs can hurt a small dog just by trying to play with them?
We offer doggy daycare at our park, where guests dogs mingle with ours, but at no stage are they ever left alone together. If we get a large dog for the day, if we have to go out into the park to attend to some jobs, the large dog is placed in a fully fenced outdoor enclosure until we return.
safe travels, hope you find a nice place for your four legged mate.
