biggrin Gooday..... We are, in the next couple of weeks, about to order a van and would appreciate any tips or advise from experienced travellers such as yourselves. We currently have an Avan aliner but will be updating to a 23 ft Traveller due to circumstances changing and us deciding to join the GN army. Have lashed out and bought a 2016 Jeep GC Overland as the tow vehicle. Think we have all the basics covered but open to any other suggestions, hints or tips.  We are both 54 and have a daughter who has very conveniently moved out of home biggrin........hence the change in plans.

Shut the front gate!

I sure hope that's not a self portrate of one of you in your AV?? KFC and Woody made me say that, they held me down hmm

Welcome to the gang AndynAL, enjoy here and out in the playground.

I upgraded also when I became a full time GN. I had a Avan Sportliner, the baby in that family. I now have what is listed in my signature.

Thanks for the welcome matey. Interesting nick name .. I found that I could never relax in either a tee pee or a wigwam .. The Doc said I was just a bit 'two tents' .... boom boom. Thats my humour for the day. On a serious note, As Al (short for Alison) the boss has said, we are just beginning a new phase of the rest of our lives and want to do it right and safely. You'll be hearing a bit from us in the coming weeks as the more informed we are the more dangerous we become. Im a believer in no such thing as a stupid question but being stupid for not asking in the first place. As for the 'Bush Chook' wheel cover, Al found that for the Avan and the rest is history.

Cheers and thanks again for the welcome . Andy

And it's welcome from us two 2 .....".........hmmm held him down me thinkth chief speekth with forkth tongue ........as he tripped on one of his lost feathers .
Yes AndynAl never a dumb question soooo true dumb only for not asking in the first place haven't heard that last bit but I do concur .

Take some time if you haven't yet to look through all the different forums a lot of questions and answers there, use the search button if looking for something specific and if no luck then ask away in the most appropriate forum

Hmmm two tents hey ...... sounds like you need more room go for the 23 ft er then
But really make very sure of the weight of whichever van you get leaves enough to put some gear in it before you are over weight ...um ..the van that is ... lots of discussions on here about this and it seem the Mr Plod is about to start weighing rigs on the road and dishing out nasty letters about dieting for vans .
