interesting concept.

hmm but I really do think all the logs would quite quickly be on fire ... makes a very warm fire to sit around but 'thirsty' on wood consumption. cry

We saw something similar in N.Z. some years ago, only on a much larger scale,

It was in a country hotel lounge area, they had built a huge hole in the wall and every Autumn,

they would push a large log ( talking 2+m x 6m ) into this hole using a Dozer, come the Winter and Snow, they would light the end of the log and as it burnt down, it was pushed further into the room,

It worked a treat, very warm and cosy inside, the good thing was that the poor yardman,

didn't have to chop wood every day, only once a year.
