Hello from France

Hello Folks. We are a uk couple living in France for the past 14 years.

We were in WA last year visiting old pals and now we would like to go back there and travel around for a few months.

We are not strangers to camper vans ,just Australia.

I thought we would join up on here and find some advice and info etc.  We are not sure about buying a camper or renting. So lots to learn.

Cheers.   Magoo.

Welcome to the gang Magoo, enjoy here and out in the playground.

You have come to the right place to find out about travelling around OZ and I tell you that for free.

Make sure you check out all the different sections of the forum then ask any questions in the appropriate place.

Keep Safe on the roads.

Hello Magooagain

Firstly, as Dougwe has already said, welcome to the forum

If you were to Google campervan for hire in Western Australia, you will see the types available and the hire prices
If you were to Google campervan for sale Perth Western Australia, the top of the list is Gumtree, which will show you what is available in the second hand market, of that area

Also if you download WikiCamps Australia, (approximately less than 10 Euros, for a lifetime subscription), it will show all the Paid/Free camps in Australia, what is in those camps, plus places of interest etc

Hope that this information helps you out

Edit to correct wrong spelling of WikiCamps
Thanks for spotting that wrong spelling mistake Gaylehere, it is appreciated
I would not want anyone to start Googling the wrong word

Hi and welcome from me too. This is a big country with many and varied places to see.  We toured some of WA last year in our 2nd hand motorhome which was originally a hire vehicle.  Some of the hire companies sell off their "used" motorhomes so you could check their sites as well as their hire prices.  Different options depend on your budget.  With any purchase though, check that anything that opens and shuts does properly, if it switches on and off it works.  Try out the appliances if you can - microwave, cooktop, fridge, TV.  Just a by the by - the site mentioned earlier is WikiCamps.  Yes, do come again and enjoy our great country.
