Anyone travelling to the cape, check the road conditions, as Weipa has had 28mm of rain since 9am. RACQ alerts don't cover small creeks that will rise very quickly. Remember you may be some distance from help if you run into trouble.

Have any GNs travelled to/from Cape York recently? We plan the go to the top in May/June 2017 and would like to know the current road conditions. We will be in a Disco 4 with 2.5t off-road JB Gator caravan.
