Well done DM, some great memories there but I noticed on the map that there was two red lines (roads) not travelled.

I love reading about peoples travels and the different ways of writing about them. Keep up the good work.

Keep Safe on the roads.

Well done Lorraine. Have also read with interest your articles in Caravan & Motor Home mag.It is refreshing to hear from people traveling and experiencing the many adventures and opportunities on offer while roaming this great island.
Hopefully we will venture to the Apple Island early next year and probably use your blog as a template.

Yeah I know, we are slack.  We should have tried harder to do all the roads!

Thanks John, hope you enjoy the apple isle as much as we have.  Just don't cut it short.  And, there are so many freecamps, you don't really need to house sit.

Hi Lorraine, we are heading from Perth to Tassie, going over on the Spirit of Tasmania on the 14th August, and touring for 3-4 months. Your blogs make for great reading and this last one has been very helpful with the stats etc at the end, We can't wait to get there and start a new adventure! All the best to you both.

Thanks rayjudesmith, only too please that I can help others out there.  One word of advice. Make sure you booked your return before you leave the mainland! We met too many grey nomads who did not, and their  two or three months has become five or six.  All the best, and enjoy Tassy.

Great read Lorraine. You and John are like the little Eveready Energiser Rabbit in the tv ad. Wish I had your energy levels. I might do half of what you've got in your blog by the year 2026..... Maybe ?

Cheers,
.... Val

Thanks Val, we had so much to cover, and only 8 months in which to do it! I do believe that we left no stone unturned.

Great read. As an expat Tasmanian apart from making me home sick for lots of places I know well it was pleasing to read about someone who had a great time down home

What a great read Lorraine, you have probably seen more of Tassie than I have. I get to see the same roads day after day.

I am pleased I have made you home sick, there were way to many Queenslanders there, Taswegians need to go back to balance the country.

Thanks Chris. I feel we covered almost everything. There were a few logging tracks we missed, and the highway bit between Evandale and Cambelltown. But, Hey, when we come back next time, we know where to start.
