Beach /Boat Lighting for Fisho's

All the fisho's out there know just how frustrating it can be  fishing at night or trying to find that just right hook and tie the bugger on  or if you are a beach waker as I am and leave the gear  on the beach then struggle to relocate it in the dark or warn others that my gear is there before they drive over it ,  I find that the head lamps are good  but can become awkward at times and don't mark my spot with the gear .  They run for hours and hours using AA batteries

This setup is a dual function LED /Beam light fitted to a 40MM storm pipe  that is made like a sand spike   The torch came from the Reject Shop, has a neat 40MM base  so if making one make sure you have a small piece  of 40MM to reduce the elbow back to a neat 40mm.

I also found I had a 20mm based torch and does the same thing for the ****pit of the yak but no beam function for shoreline distance judgement  but I'm still looking so I can go small with both function for Yak and Beach

Hi.

On my boats 5.3 and 3.75 rooftopper.
I bought a coupla 5 mtr lengths of LED 3m Adhesive backed strips. with a few dimmers.

They glued on side of boat below gunwale wiring to battery or fuse link.
One across stern and one each side. Dimmed to suit.

MAGIC. and use nothing. Can see ALL of interior below gunwales
and NO reflection over sides on to water.
Headlight for finger work.

For beach fishing. I have a coupla small self powered garden lights on stalks.
You normally get them in 6 packs for a few bucks a pop.

Stick one in sand by bag/gear. and other beside bait rod if spinning as well.

They both light up area round the items. and can be seen for miles.
Headlight again for hands.
Stuck in corner of garden, They always fully charged and good for a few hrs.

That light of yours would be good for squidding. Swing it out over side of kayak.
