Gooday all, we camped at Beardy Waters free camp on Monday night 9/5/2016 along with about 20 other vans and motor homes mostly Grey Nomads by the look, it was a very quiet night and 2 campers pulled out before sunrise, all was well until a camper went to the loo, apparently someone had tried to empty a toilet cassette into the long drop in the dark. The mess they left was an utter disgrace with contents all over the toilet and the floor, this made the toilet unusable by other campers.
As there were only Grey Nomads camped there nobody else could have done this, and I bet the culprits are going around saying "they leave no trace", accidents can happen but to leave this for someone else to clean up is not right.

Some months back I found the same thing at Fat Hen Ck, east of Kilkivan. They are flushing tiolets, but must have been blocked. Some animals still emptied their cassettes into them. What a mess.
I camped at Beady Creek (9 Ks north of Glen Innes) about February 2014
The only toilet, (long drop), on that site had a putrid smell, everyone assumed that someone had emptied their toilet cassette into it, sometime previously
So this is not the first time, this had happened, to that particular long drop toilet
As most real Grey nomads (at least those on this forum), would have heard about the "Camp book", or "Wikicamps", or just "word of mouth", they would know that there is a free toilet dump point at Glen Inness, Anzac Park, day rest area, and that we should not dump our toilet cassette into a long drop toilet
I hope that we will eventually find out who these excreta people are, and pass on their rego number to the police, as we would if they had emptied their toilet cassette, onto our own front door step
Unfortunately as we are all tarred with the same brush, something like this could be used as ammunition, to further degrade the social status of us Grey Nomads, by those who would prefer us not to free camp in their area
I have finished my rant, and thank you for listening/reading
We have stayed at Beardy Waters previously and agree that they are a bit on the nose, but this person had missed the toilet with most of the cassette contents and then probably left the campsite before anyone saw them. Very ordinary.
