Great place to use as a base to day trip to the hinterland or the Emundi markets .$29 a night good amenities . Not far from town and one of the best Chinese resturants on the Qld coast.

Hello Grey Fox

I made a visit to the Emundi markets about 10 years ago, via car, as it was on the way to where I was heading.

Coming from WA, I was certainly surprised at the size of it.

I intend to revisit this area in the future, so thanks for the info, about Pomona Show Grounds

While in Pomona the "Silent Movies" theatre is well worth a visit.   In addition to the movie you get afternoon tea and the privilege of hearing the proprietor accompany the film on his original Wurlizter theatre organ.  Definitely not to be missed!!
