Here we go, I said in my last missive that my next would follow shortly, and here it is. I am still a month behind, but with the wet weather we are currently experiencing, I am sure I will have more time suffering from cabin fever, and will be glued to the keyboard catching up.
We leave Tasmania in a week and a half, so my next blog will take us up to there.
Thanks Lorraine. Really enjoying your story and we're going there at the end of the year so gives us a few tips as well. Don't want the rain though
Dave
A great read Lorraine (and lovely pictures). 99 mls rain (4 inches) in Sheffield in the past 5 days - windy as all get out too. Hope the rest of your trip goes well and you have a safe crossing back to the mainland. Cheers, ... Val
Thanks Dave, Sue, Lynda and Val. Yes, we are rather wet here at Deloraine as well. Moving on to Launceston for a couple of days, then the waiting game next week, probably on power if this weather keeps up, until Sunday night.
Dave, been here for almost eight months and this weather is the first to really get us down. The farmers need it so we don't complain, we just burn the generator at both ends. Remember to book your return before you leave the mainland, regardless of the season, bring some warm clothes (last year there was snow into October, and we have had snow again already) We have not put our winter woollies away since winter last year.
