Apparently they are OK up to10 years with tread .. I would use them up to 4 or 5 years . Tyres I have had anything with from there . Are more truck tyre . The cassing is ok . Just grip and road noise .
If you can give the name, size, and load rating of your tyre, plus the weight of your new van
Someone with the same brand tyres may be able to give you their opinion, on those particula tyres
As there are tyre factories, and tyre factories, some brands may be OK, and some brands may be rubbish
As a comparison, the Michelin (a good name brand) tyres which are sold in Australia, are to the best of my knowledge, made in either Shanghai in China, one of two places in Thailand, or Chennai in India.
Do we still make tyres here ?????? or are they all imports. Lets face it we don't seem to have all of the essential ingredients here in OZ needed to make tyres anyway

For what it is worth, I have had great service from Pirelli Scorpions. Two sets so far. The first set lasted around 7 years (all city driving). The current ones, replaced around 3 years ago, still have heaps of tread left (approx. 50%+/-). As with everything, regular checks and balances as well as wheel alignments extend the tyre life. Not sure how they will travel off road though.

At 70,000 kms, I reckon I have another 15,000 kms left on my michelins. Because of this thread I decided to look up the prices and nearly fell off my chair, $496.00 per tyre is just too rich for me. Although they've given me great service, I'll be looking at the Bridgestone deal where you buy 3 and get the fourth one free. It will be less than half the price of Michelins. Unless I win lotto
