We have decided to make a new caravan table to suit us better than the old original... done that but what I need now is to find someone in Brisbane - North side that will laminate the top and edges at a reasonable cost -- any one any ideas or recommendations - they would be much appreciated thanks you
Hi, I would call into a couple of local cabinet makers, The Kitchen type of manufacturers. They may have left overs from a large job or two that may suit that could save a bit.
Can't suggest anyone in particular as Brisbane - northside covers a pretty fair distance.
Thankd Guys I was happy to do this myself but no one wanted to sell e off cuts - they all wanted to sell me a full sheet. Thanks Radar I have talked to Brian so I shall go up there to get it done - Thanks one and all Ian
Just about any cabinet maker should be able to help you with offcuts. I used to work for Laminex Industries (many years ago) and they used to sell half sheets with the smallest being 1800mm x 750mm in post forming grade which is really easy to work with. If you do it yourself, most tutorials will show to use a gel or spreadable type adhesive, but a brushable adhesive is a lot easier and faster, you can also use the sprayable type with a brush.
Another thought could be Mister Ply Wood here's some contact details for their Brisbane Stores:
