If you have a DVA card, you get 10% off rego and driver's licence renewal if it is white and 100% off rego and licence renewal if it is gold.
The best bet is to check on line with the various road governing bodies - RTA, ACT Roads etc. If you can't get a satisfactory answer, send them an email or call them.
In Victoria I think it's nearly 50% off your car (not sure of the exact amount) but not the van (although van rego is minimal in Vic). If your partner has a car registered in his or her name and is eligible for a pension they get discounted rate also. Brenda
brickies
the booklet quotes "motorised caravans (regardless of gross vehicle mass )"
I assumed it refered to caravans as in your avatar as I cant imagine a caravan with a motor
If im wrong im apologise

In NSW once you are a pensioner you get one free rego(you pay CTP) and a free drivers licence.
I have no idea about other states.
Frank
Not sure if it only applies to returned vets or all pensioners but put rego the tug in one name and the van is the spouse and both regos are free you still need a CTP for the tug so it's the road tax that's free NSW is by far the most expensive place on the planet to rego anything will wheels tracks or skids even a box trailer or boat trailer is expensive to rego I believe Victoria is the cheapest

Dave, you and your wife are allowed one free registration each year. It's up to you how you arrange them. If you have both vehicles registered in one name (eg your name) then you will have to arrange for one to be transferred to the other party.
If you need to transfer one registration then take both registration certificates and your wife down to the motor registry. You will generally find them very helpful these days.
If you have three vehicles then choose the lightest weight one to pay the registration on. NSW registration fees are based on weight. The lightest one will have the lowest registration fee. In this case each the heavier will have to be in separate names (ownership.)
In our case I own the tug (concessional registration,) the van is in the wifes name (concessional registration) and the wife owns the the small car (full fee registration.)

For WA members, same applies, including weight criteria. On WA Reg papers, campervans and motorhomes are shown as MOBCVN (Mobile Caravans).
