Jayco Recall Some Campervans

Gday...

Found this on 'another forum' ... posting here in case it has not been seen by members here.

Make sure you read the PDF document at bottom of recall -

http://www.recalls.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/1085579

Cheers - John

Thanks for that John. Interestingly, the site has a summary of all caravans and I guess 99% of them on that recall list are Jaycos.

Does that mean 1) Jayco are the only honest manufacturer to list their faulty units 2) most faulty units are Jayco 3) that Jayco have about 50% of the RV market (which includes their m/homes)

Gday...

confuse actually I think it simply means that a Jayco supplier provided a sub-standard product that Jayco now has to remedy.

Hi John,

The way I interpreted. That it is refering to wind up campers not Pop Topscrycrycry. Our van Number falls within the recall numbers.crycrycrycrycrycrycry Hope not.

we only just got it back again after a week and a half.crycrycry.

Where is the chassis number located on a Jayco camper?. I can find the vin number on the plate. Is the chassis number part of the vin number?

I was in our local dealer yesterday. The faulty part is the cable used in the windup mechanism. The campers affected are the recent produced ones and included all their current display campers.
