Hello yeoeleven
If I have read your blog correctly, you mentioned that you are pushing your scooter onto the ramp of your bus.
I have seen other travellers just start their scooters, stand alongside of it, and then gently twist the throttle, to allow the scooter to drive itself up the ramp

Thanks Tony am just getting used to the throttle and have been advised to get some gripping tape to stick to the up ramp. When Brian drove it up the ramp the back wheel spun.

Hello yeoeleven

A cheap method for grip on the short up-ramp, is any sort of cheap paint, and then sprinkling dry sand on the paint, while it is still wet

Good for you John! I hope you enjoy your new scooter. It will give you so much more independence when camping out of town. Take care. Margaret

John, liked the comment "conventionality has never been my strong point". Glad to know it still isn't, enjoy your scooter.
