Gunlom NT road condition

Hi Gromads

Has anyone been over the Gunlom road in Kakadu national park recently? I don't mind a bit of dirt but the last time I did this road was in a hired 4wd twenty years ago. I am now towing a on road Coromal pop top with a Hyundai Santa Fe. Can I nurse it over that bit of dirt to the glories beyond?

Gday...

When ya going to be heading in that way?

Gunlom road was seasonally closed on 7 Dec ... I am not sure when it will re-open.

This site would be one to keep for later reference, and refer to nearer to your travel perhaps -

Thanks John
I'm in kakadu in june and that's in the middle of the dry so I wont have to worry about wet weather closing the roads. I lived in the NT for a while in the 1990s and have been over that road but couldn't remember if it was good enough for my rig. The advice seems to be if I take it carefully I'll be fine which was my original thinking anyway.

This crazy unpredictable weathers we are all experiencing is throwing away the "norm" ......So I'd suggest you call national parks there
( jabiru ).... And get their report.
