Just met Sheffield-er

Have been PMing back and forth with Sheffield-er (Val), finally today we got to meet. At the intersection of Claude and Oliver Road near Gowrie Park,Tas. We had been watching Targa Tasmania and as we left this lady asked us if we were John and Lorraine.  We were only the second couple she had asked.  Back to the van we shared a cup of tea and chatted for a while.  Great as always, to put a face to a name.

Isn't it great meeting other GN's? Not only did we have your brother Geoff and his wife Ann come to visit us at Caboolture we had met them in Tasmania 2012/13, but another GN spotted us, and bought his wife over to meet us - G'day Greg and Shas!

Sure was good to meet up with John and Lorraine (Dunmowin) - great to have a cuppa and a chat beside their van, but Wow - the European Wasps were mighty friendly, I've never seen them in such numbers and so intent on joining the party for afternoon tea. Been a sociable week - bumped into David and Lesley (Cowboy 7307) at the Latrobe Farmers Market on Sunday - had a coffee and a chin wag. There's always something on - Steam Fest, Mural Fest, Targa Car Rally, last night a Trivia Quest, and tonight the Garden Club had its Autumn Harvest Festival - everyone showing off their prize fruit and veg and giant pumpkins (biggest 61.3 kg). ..... Val  smile
