Just back from my pet scan. Was away over 3 hours. Now Im so tired but I can't sleep as I had to lie flat on my back with my arms above my head. Stretching the wounds doesn't help. Need paid relief. Will call for some.
Will write on this thread as I find the strength.
Thanks everyone.
Just had a canula put in making it difficult to write. Billeee and Jules visited. Should be able to give you todays update. Its been a busy day.
Alice I should be back in HB in a bit over a week. Then coming back down here for chemo every 3 weeks. We can catch up.
Ken not my claim. Thats the mesas. Cornpore. Thinks thats how its spelt.
Thanks every one. Will answer when I have the strength. I give Jules the ok to pass on anything from today.
Marj - it was great to see you, and looking pretty good, considering. That hospital is so big - we got lost about four times, a couple of pretty young ladies offered to walk us over to where you are.
Marj was off having "procedures" - I pictured blood tests, etc., but no, she goes for the big stuff - scans of every organ in her body! The lymphoma is contained, which is good, easier to treat - it hasn't travelled to other parts of her body, though there are two small lymph nodes at the bottom of her neck which are a bit "iffy" - but chemo, which starts next week, should get rid of them.
Not a good way to do it, but Marj has lost about 10kg in two weeks, before she went to hospital, weighed herself today and thinks she has put a bit back on.
As I said, looking good, and with good attitude, our Happy Wanderer will be back wandering before too long!
So glad we visited Marj -

Was finally able to upload an avatar.
Photographed this at Kumbia. Hoping to put a couple together for the entrance to my block in Sapphire which I have now named Daisy Hill.
I'm now on Prednisone daily til Monday to shrink the little green man a bit before starting chemo on Monday.
Shortly I will be starting a blood transfusion in a couple of hours.
Will be a fairly quiet weekend before a very busy next week.
Sorry it's sideways.
Tomorrow I have to be up early as I'm playing model to the trainee doctors who are sitting exams. I'm the patient with this unusual condition that they poke and prod at making noises andcoming to conclusions. Then I sit and watch them sit their exam.
Lovely photo Marj - crikey - that is pretty big - I think the "Abdomenle Snowman" is a great - a good sign as we all snow melts!!!!! Good luck tomorrow!

Tomorrow is the big day. I am now staying in here for another 3 weeks starting with round 1. Ironing out all the wrinkles and going home to Hervey Bay after being given round 2. From then on in I'm a day patient coming down every 21 days for a full days treatment then home again.
Day One and ready to go. Because they give it to me all in one day it should be a fairly quiet day The next few days will show any effects.
How are you doing Alice?
First round finished today.
Changes made already. Being discharged tomorrow. Staying in motel near the hospital with Jaz over night. Back to hospital Wednesday morning for an outpatient drug then back to Hervey Bay for 21 days.
Marg Let's hope the side effects are none or at least very minimal. We are now at racecourse Torbanlea & move to Maryborough on 27/4. I have first injection into eye on Wed 20/4; & first dose of chemo on Fri 22/4. A fingers & toes crossed for me as well as for you Cheers Alice
