JB Caravans

Hi all

we are looking at the new JB Gator 17' van and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with JB vans?

Thanks

Brett

Yes Brett, We have the 2014 17'10" off road Scorpion.  Have had a few minor issues, but I would still buy the van again.  We looked at all vans in the Caboolture area for 3 days, and the JB ticked all the boxes for us.

If you would like more info, PM me with your ph no and I'll give you a call at night.

Hi Brett, haven't seen you around for ages. Are you getting rid of the Motorhome?

Plenty of JB's around but only spoken to a couple of owners and the usual thing, like the van but after sales service no good.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

Keep Safe on the roads.

most of the new vans are built to the same type of construction an use the same fittings as stated by dougwe the important thing is the after sales service talk to some owners an see if their issues have been dealt with the way you would hope

Hi Dougwe

Sold the motorhome a few months ago. Ive been working full-time for the last couple of years...now semi retired again :).... and I have decided that in the next few months I'll get a caravan that can do off road stuff. I have an SR5 Hilux dual cab these days and while it will only tow 2500KG theres a few good vans that will fit my needs.

JB's new Gator seems to have all that i need and Im going up to the factory tomorrow to have a look at them.

Hope you're well and look fwd to seeing you out in the great unknown  ;)

Cheers

Brett

Hi Brett

We have a JB 20' ft Scorpion which we purchased last year . We love the van and haven't needed any after sales warranty work .( cross fingers) . The only issue we have really is the useless mesh in the windows which allows all sorts of bugs to get through. I believe this is common to most vans and not just JB.

We have changed the mesh in the door to midge proof mesh and are in the process of doing the same to the windows .

Other than that , it is a wonderful van , tows very well , and is very comfortable inside . If the new Gator is as good as our Scorpion , go for it .

Hey Voyager What is this "midge-proof mesh" of which you speak? I am in the process of purchasing a JB Scorpion (Limited Edition) and don't take kindly to sandfly bites so it sounds like something I need. Cheers!
