The Wife & I spoke to a number of Jayco"s Rep's with our Ipads, from other Dealers on day one. Say no more. Shut the gate.
Our Van Went back, first thing on Thursday morning. We expect to see it back in time, to enjoy our first trip this season.
The show itself, well not much had changed. We had hoped to see new Exhibitors, few and far between. Plenty of Sat Finders showing off their bits. We didn't spot one fifth Wheeler. The best Motor home could be had for $297 in green cabbage.
We brought one 15amp x 5mtr lead to make shure our AC runs off our Honda.
We had hoped to see extendable towing mirrors Diesel heaters And spend a dollar or three.
I don't really follow this, Jim. My understanding was when this calamitous event happened to you last year you were given a return date in April 2016 for the faults to be rectified. It is now April and obviously your van has come to its place in the queue and is being looked at. That is good.
As I recall you were given advice as to how to expedite the process, which you happily ignored and carried on with your tirade.
Your van is now being fixed and whilst this is being done you are happily racing around a caravan show armed with your Ipod, presumably bad mouthing certain members and affiliates of the caravan industry. Be very careful my friend. I think you will find that members of organisations, professions et al look after their own and quite happily pass on comments that they may hear. Bad mouth or hold responsible the incorrect person and you may find out the hard way just how expensive defamation proceedings can be.
Your van is being fixed at a date of their choosing as you did not follow any advice that was given to you. Just accept that.
How will you cope when you finally get on the road and find that the freight at a caravan park is not quite the same as shown in the Camps book, or perish the thought, the free washing service at a van park is not available as the machine is broken.
Perhaps it might be time to take some of your own advice and "stop acting like a four year old and be a real man"
Unfortunately I suspect that there is more to come in this saga.
I expect that any obvious major faults will be fixed, but I suggest that the fact that Jim did some pipework himself to prepare for his trip will cause some discussion from Jayco, and its possible impact on the operation of the water system. This may or may not cause issues further down the track, especially if there are issues when the system is finally tested properly under normal operation.
Unfortunately, I would also suggest that some of the original issues Jim had were more about "looks" than about the actual operation of the van, and he may find that it will be tested, found to work, and nothing will be changed. That is why it was really important that he did a shake down trip before the work. Unfortunately I don't believe that he did that.
I truly hope he is happy with the outcome, as I am certain at the end the van will be fit for purpose, but it may still not "look" nice under the van. Ours didn't until I spent a couple of afternoons tidying up the wiring and pipework, and adding the pipework protection I wanted, which I incidentally did AFTER the warranty period had passed so that I couldn't be blamed for any problems.
Hope you are happy and enjoy your first trip soon Jim.

Hi DMaxer,
Thankyou for your concerns as to our visit to the show.
May I begin with the truths of the matter, rather then you going off half ****ed as you do, per usual.
Your understanding, most every little thing in your own mind that we do, you preceive is wrong.
Firstly, We we did not, go racing around the caravan show armed with our Ipads shouldered.
We did approach the team at the Jayco Stand and we did speak to Travis Mcgee who sold us the van at the show last year. Our Ipads we in their bags in my backpack.
We conducted an orderly adult conversation about the going on's with our van, and the length of time taken to recifty the issues, plus the new problems we have encounted thus far.
Other Jayco Dealer / members asked us If we had photo's to view, and we offered openly, to show them.
Their eyes were affixed to our issues and asked us they could copy some of them. Not a problem.
We sat and had coffee at their tables with them. The feed back was positive, and we got more reasurances then before. Some of what was said, I will not comment on here.
As for your defamation proceedings comments.( Get a Life son.)
The issues with warranty timing is been addressed By Jayco.
Gerry Ryan has taken a back seat at Jayco and new Management is in place.
We were told, Gerry Ryan does monitor the Jayco forums from time to time, and comments made, do go back to management for head kicking ( Quote, unquote.)
If you want some free advice.
Be yourself and stop trying to ridicule other members here, who are trying to pass on information for the good of all. All you will achieve is being the only one left, on this site.
With respect Dmaxer , Terry and a few others here. Try to be positive, Please stop, Big noting yourself. After all we are only human.
IMHO, from Hey Jim's opening post, and the thread title, it looked to me like it was going to be a "blackmail" type of situation. Hey Jim chose words that did not really portray what he REALLY meant. Easy to do. His reply to Dmax, after the tit for tat ****, explained it better.
