My new satking decoder reads 8888 after scanning. The dish is correctly aligned and picks up the satellite. Have rehit the card etc. It worked fine initially, only used once, but since.....:(

Any ideas?

Hi Bas & Eve. Have you just got it or had it a while? You might have to renew the card. It needs to be done every 6 months.

i met a nomad that told me he didn't use his for 5 weeks and had to renew.

You don't renew the card. You just have to contact them and get the card re-registered.
