How slow can you go

.I think the great wall took less time than it's taken  council to resurface a 100 meters of tar and construct some  inappropriate guttering.  No Wonder the locals are a little peeved off.  The old saying More Delays More Pays Springs To Mind .   At least we haven't lost our sense of humour but believe me it's getting harder to laugh the waste off

This is at the end of Hastings River Drive a main road in to Port Macquarie.   Coming up for a 1st birthday shortly should be a big affair  I'm sure

Gday...

confuse so you need (should use) 4x4 to drive down a main road in Port Macquarie ?

Sorry, I haven't even been into or near Port Macquarie. It just seems incredible that your MUST use 4x4 to negotiate the town.

Ya don't need 4x4 to drive within the town of Birdsville fer gawd's sake confuse

Cheers - John

Yep same job . Sometimes I think they would be better to rip up the tar and go pure gravel .  That sign only reflects road conditions around the CBD.  come out to Wauchope 20 k's  to drive on real 4WD tracks .   Wauchope residents are of the thought they are on the edge of the universe not the edge of town.    The council maps  of Wauchope came  over the mountains with John Oxley  and are stamped by Council as largely unexplored   don't not enter without armed escort party and tracker .. When they discharged our council some years back for total financial  mismanagement and vested interests  they should have sacked the senior staff along with them.
