I have a Truma water heater which seems to be too efficient! On a temperature setting of 1, the water is almost hot enough to make a cuppa and it has blown the release valve once. I have had the system checked by the dealer (still under warranty) but he couldn't find any problem. He did say that I should take it to a Dometic service agent for an expert assessment. Has anyone out there had a similar experience. The Truma air con is brilliant, however!

Thanks, Doug. I have had a good look under the van around the heater unit and couldn't see anything that remotely looked like a temperature adjustment knob, etc. I am just interested if anyone else has a Truma like mine, and has had any issues. If not, I'll just take it to my local Dometic agent.

All Truma 14 litre Stainless Steel Hot Water Systems sold and fitted in Australia Do Not have a Multi Adjustable Thermostat , they all have a Two Position Switch with preset Temperatures of 60 and 70 degrees only.
I would say that if your van is a European Brand as in your Avatar then it could be set up differently. The only other Truma Hot water heater is what is called a Combi Heater which has a Water and Air Heater Combined together in the one unit but I think they are only 10 litre Capacity from what I have read.
