Hello Phantom
If my interpretation of your topic, is that you are asking for advice, from the forum members, in regards to changing your Avatar, then this is my opinion, (and I could be wrong)
You should stick with your original Avatar
The reasons behind my opinion are twofold
Firstly, the original poster, of the topic in question, jules47, saying do not change it
Secondly, tongue in cheek
People outside the Jungle are now becoming aware of the brand name. It is a noble brand name stretching back for over 400 years
You already have among other things, a car, caravan, and a surveillance drone, named after you
I also heard through the drums, something about an Opera, although not being fortunate enough, to having much of an artistic nature, I am not able to confirm this last detail
G'day. Think to your self, would the Phantom ever change himself over a few nay sayers? No bloody way. Keep your Avatar and use it with jungle pride.
Cheers.

Old jungle saying "There are times when the Phantom leaves the jungle and walks the streets of the town as an ordinary man" Perhaps he also drives the streets of the town in a rubbish truck.
Further old jungle saying. "Phantom does not change avatar, been in family for four hundred years"
Jon English was a decent family man who has recently passed....his family and this Forum did not require your latter day critique'.
I saw Jon, from the front row, when he opened with Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton at West Lakes S.A. years ago....he was hugely popular with those who attended, and Dolly and Kenny obviously had much respect for his talent, by then performing together.....your comments are very unfair to both Jon and his family, and made without need or qualification.....
I must have missed your list of musical achievements Phantom, why not enlighten us all?....in the past your posts have been largely single line barbs at posters including myself, however you have made an attempt to re-invent yourself for newer members of late.... however always casting the limelight on yourself...
If that is a shat truck your driving I would say its most apt, as you are full of it....IMO......
It takes a bit these days to get this old war-horse into a trot....in your case I make an exception....all I ask is, if we are ever in the same Van Park, that you give me about three caravan widths breathing space....
I for one do not care what your avatar contains...I do care about Jon English's 'Australian Musical Legacy'....

I really don't know what got up your nose. My comment was that I didn't think Jon English was much chop. Just because he has died is no reason to change my opinion.
That you sat in the front row at one of his concerts (and that was a masterstroke in appraising folk of your importance) doesn't change my opinion in any way.
You thought he was wonderful, I thought little of him. There our opinions differ.
It would appear from the remainder of your post that you are very put out that I do not share your opinion and for that, you obviously think it necessary to denigrate me to try and re-inforce your point.
Unfortunately, all it does is expose you as an embittered old "war horse" (your words) who cannot abide others having an opinion different to your own.
Perhaps for your next trip you should fly to North Korea. Every one there only has one opinion.
And, for your information, my "one line barbs" have never been directed at you. You flatter yourself to think that I would bother.
When you ask others opinions of your avatar, you open yourself to criticism of yourself personally and your "track record" in past posts.
Up until perhaps Xmas time, I totally disliked you and your personal attacks and unpleasant comments made by others posts. I am aware of two very reasonable and pleasant people who had been on this Forum much longer than you who left the site permanently and not returned because of you.
However, since about Xmas, I have enjoyed reading your posts and comments - they are very interesting and mostly positive and show a dar shadow who obviously has a great deal of knowledge to share.
Last year, I would have loved you to have left the Forum, this year - no, stay with The Phantom in any form (maybe switch to various Phantom forms from time to time such as the old French one) - and not the truck (even through it seems to have a hidden agenda).
I now enjoy reading your posts and comments, especially those with a real depth of background knowledge that you clearly have
