Suggestions for Easter Break

Any suggestions on Free Camps or Paid within 300k's of the Gold Coast just for the Easter Break. Don't normally go away at Easter but I need a break due to work commitments. 30' motorhome and pet friendly.

Thanks

Mick

Hi Mick, may be try camping in a State Forest, unlike National Parks, the State Forest's have trained the native wildlife to be pet tollerant. Here's a link to a list of NSW State Forests:

What ever you do have a great break.

Gday...

My only suggestions for any Easter break is to get to a small inland town by about the Wednesday before and stay there until the following Wednesday.

And STAY OFF THE ROADS ...... 1,000s of city folk in one mad rush to get outta the city and then to get back cry

cheers - John

Hi Mick, Maleney good. Also Rathdowney, any showgrounds on the Darling Downs, Laidley. Also Mulgowie near Laidley, power available and walk to pub. Great spot.

West, Queen Mary Falls, Crowes Nest, couple of roughies Nobby, Leyburn.

Over the border, kyogle, Iluka, . Drake on the Casino to Tenterfield road. Might be something around Tenterfield which might catch your imagination. Texas is one of my favourites.

It hard to answer your question as there is so many variables.

Hope this helps.

Anywhere except the coast as any caravan park on the coast will be fully loaded with families and the caravan parks see this as their last chance to extract maximum cash from customers prior to winter, as others have said there are some great spots inland especially at show grounds and there will be less crowds and significantly less traffic on the roads.

Have a great Easter break and enjoy the big playground.
