Windorah to Birdsville

hello,

we are going to the Big Red Bash @ Birdsville in July. We plan to drive Windorah to Birdsville. Has anyone done this in a road van? our van is a 21 foot dual axel road van with pretty good clearance (a Diamond Marquise).

Also after the Bash is the road going north suitable for a road van?

any tips responses will be greatly appreciated

thank you

The Road from Windorah is sealed for 140 k and then turns to gravel. The road last year at this time was good as we towed a 21ft van and had no problems as the road is usually graded close to the events. The from Birdsville is a mix of gravel and sealed road to Bedoulia/ Bedourie. If you drive to conditions you should have no problems as we didn't have any mishaps.

Windorah to Birdsville is a great drive caron.

Lots to see & the road is pretty good for a gravel road. The small CP in Windorah is pretty good considering where it is & the fees were very cheap when we went through about 18 months ago. Meals at the pub were a bit exy though!

Betoota is definitely worth a look!

Not sure that the Waddi trees near Birdsville were worth the effort though. But that's just me lol!
