Hi folks, just a general question here. Can someone tell me if you are on a pension during your travels - what happens if you have to get tests for cancer is it on the free list?
Also is the chemo etc also on the list?

Hello. I don't know definitely but being a cancer survivor from many years ago I do know that if your treatments are on the
Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme
and you have the appropriate card to access them. Then yes they are subsidized. I would suggest that you have the right cards and prescriptions before starting
I have just found out, how to, and sent you a PM, as I have recent information on your question
Things change all the time, and so does the cost.
Any Cancer Specialist Nurse, will allow you to sit down, (at no charge) and will explain the treatment as well as the/any cost
I was informed in Bunbury WA that if I had been a pensioner on the Centerlinks books, the cost of radiation, and/or normal surgery, would have been zero
I will now attempt to send you an Internet link, of all the places which have a Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse. There are only two in WA and the Bunbury nurse covers all types of cancer.
In the meantime, I sincerely say all the best, and that in this modern era, cancer is no longer the end of the world
Many thanks Dave and Tony, Many thanx for your replies.
I've saved the page you supplied Tony and will contact Bunbury when I get to Mandurah house sit next Tuesday.
cheers
Terry
