I'm with Greg. Only had ours about six months and it is a very capable MH. It drives very well and has most of the comforts of home. Fuel economy is great. Have been adding a few bits and pieces to make it even better.

I would avoid the Fiat front wheel drive due to traction issues and go the Iveco, also made by Fiat.
The Fiat is very competitively priced and the builders like it because it comes without a chassis and they have a lot of design freedom.
That often means that there are structural limitations to the rear of the vehicle that can affect towing ratings etc.

Seen too many Fiats having to be towed up wet grass inclines, and meeting others limping home to their nearest Fiat mechanical service centre as no one else can service them [warranty issues not oil change issues]

First post here but trying to contribute a bit of experience.

Regarding FWD Fiats, we spent 4 years travelling in Europe and watching Fiats digging themselves deeper into the mud was a constant source of entertainment. These things are FWD but about 70% of the weight is on the back axle. As for Autotrail (or any other UK made van), take a look at some of the UK motorhome websites e.g. www.motorhomefun.co.uk. Build quality is a real issue and comes nowhere near European built vans. Why are NZ made vans (and virtually all of the rental vans in Oz are NZ made) on Merc or Iveco chassis? You'll struggle to find any on Fiat chassis. Presumably down to reliability and maintenance costs.

Hi Don, we have a 2015 (Jan delivery) AT Tracker FB. It has completed 27,000kkms in 14 months. We have travelled from our Sydney base to Cooktown in the north to Ceduna in the west. We have also covered a large part of nsw, vic, SA & Qld country. Normally we stay in caravan parks but do sometimes free camp. We are totally happy with the AT & the Fiat Ducato.Our vehicle has been totally reliable and has not suffered any of the issues often written about. We overnight on wet grass and have not had problems.the AT end has not let us down, our only issues have been very minor. we looked at all the brand options available and this layout met our needs perfectly. One of the big advantages of the Ducato is a low, wide chassis with a wider rear track than the front. This results in excellent handling and a very stable vehicle on site when moving around inside. I did note that the rear wheel drive alternatives tended to rock more when moving inside a parked up MH. I have also found that Elite RV are trying hard to support the AT range with good after sales backup, certainly that assists when it is time to sell.At the end of the day it comes down to individual preferences. Would I buy another AT/Fiat - without a doubt yes. If you need more info let me know by PM. Cheers, Gary C.
