I've spent a long time reading the forum & finally decided to join up! My wife & I are located in the NE suburbs of Adelaide, we try to get away on a long trip once or twice a year. We currently have a Pajero & a Navara as tow vehicles. Just bought our 1st pop-top, after years of tenting & towing a camper trailer all over the place. Our new (to us) van is a little (13') & very well maintained Island Star, which we bought last Friday.
We've filled it with our "stuff"& now we're trying hard to think of somewhere to head off to for a "shake down" trip this W/E. This is a huge learning curve for us, having never owned a van before!
Heading up north with the little van later this year, probably to the Kimberley.
I have a very keen interest in keeping the van dust free & learning about 12V self sufficiency.
Welcome to the gang Mutley, enjoy here and out in the playground.
Make sure you check out all the different sections of this great forum including the "Stickies" then post any questions in the appropriate one.
There is a section called "Techies" including a separate section for solar that is full of 12v and related issues so grab a coffee and note pad and read away then ask questions if need be.
Keep Safe on the roads
