Like this one https://www.autoelec.com.au/ssl/public_autoelec/store_v4/product_detail.asp?id=1691&cat=46

Probably be OK for anywhere there's no humidity, I don't have one but looking at the specs it look OK, and is pretty cheap.

Regards Steve.

Dunno if you looked at the price from the link I sent, but they sell em for $93 with free delivery, I've bought a few things from Autoelec always got good service & prices.

I worked for the largest manufacturer of evep. coolers in Australia for about 25 years.
Don't waste your money on this one. Buy a decent fan instead.

Cheers,
Peter

Might feel cool for the first five minutes but once the humidity builds up you could end up in a sauna. They have been around for years so there must be people out there who have bought them and could comment. My guess is they would hit the rubbish bin fairly quickly.

Hi everyone. I recently bought a Transcool cooler which in my opinion is the best. It is used best when blowing on you. It maybe a little expensive but is really good quality. I leave the van completely open and thoroughly recommend this. Good luck folks. Woody46

Hi

No matter what name they go by, they are still an evaporative  cooler

OK with DRY air input,  but with high humidity , pretty hopeless & can actually make the situation worse, as they add more humidity

Hi, hmmm the last post is right in theory of course. I have spent the wet season north of Ayr and will stand by my Transcool. Anyway I kiss it goodnight and good morning so the rest is up to other people. Bye bye. Woody46
