I don't use one at all.

The intake/exhaust is behind a door on a recessed wall. I did it that way so it was flush and protected in the bush.

That is not much use to you though, because the heater would need to be moved, but others may find it useful.

It might be possible to build a small hinged door that covered the area though, like a shallow rectangular frying pan?

I just put a self tapper screw through the cover, need a screwdriver to remove, not fully secure but more time and tools mean it is not an opportunistic theft

I have screwed a metal T onto the side off Van and the plastic cover per above to pinch it requires a screw driver so far so good
