Breakaway 6,000

Hi Fellow Caravan's

Just been reading old post on Breakaway Batteries.

Our 18 mth old Retreat - has a Breakaway 6000 system under the bunk ( single Beds). It appears to be wired to the house batteries, for when I turn the 12 volt system on in the van, the charge light comes on. I assume it must be charging from them and the tug.

Has anyone got a Hummingbird Battery monitor?  I was thinking of installing one , being wireless, seems the way to go?

look forward to your comments

Androb

I suggest you use the Breaksafe remote battery monitor suitable for the 6000 series, these are hard wired, not wireless and are compatable and comply with the regulations.

Check with RV Electronics in SA or with the RMS to see if the Hummingbird is approved.
