What's the best mattress for a Luton Peak.

We have a a foam mattress now but it's tired, and that's how sleeping on it is leaving us...plus with an aching back for good measure. So what's everyone else using? And a place of purchase/cost would be helpful. Thank you.

When we bought our motorhome it had a 3 inch thick plain foam matteress, we replaced it high density matteress from Clarke Rubber for $220, 2 years on and its still as good as new.  The only regret was we got a 4 inch thick one, we should have stuck with 3 inch cause the loss of that one inch makes a huge difference.  A 3 inch thick high density would have been as good I think.

We did meet another couple with a similar motorhome, and they use an inflatable camping style matteress, the one they have had individual air pockets so you could adjust the firmness on each side and total thickness is just under 3 inches. They didn't say where they got it from, but if the one we have wears out I think I'd look into an inflatable like this.

Thanks Guys, that has been a big help. We made enquirers about an inner spring mattress. They are manufactured in Albury and cost $625! Not cheap I realise, but they are made so they flex and can be installed as easily as a foam one. The only problem is we would have to go to Albury to test drive it first or buy it sight unseen, and that could lead to tears before bed if it's not suitable. Does anyone have an innerspring one? Lee

Hi Lee Iām also considering changing the mattress in our Jayco Conquest MH, better half suffers from back ache, so we would like to explore buying a better mattress, we are close to Albury, are you able to give me the name of the mattress supplier/ manufacturer, so I can make an enquiry. Thanks in advance Luc
