Awnings

A  friend of mine was telling me the other day, if you get an awning replaced you don't have a choice of colour anymore ,is this so or is that crap.

sounds like crap to me

ours was replaced a couple weeks ago and we were able to get the same colour and pattern that was in the old one

Gday...

I agree with KFT - I had my awning fabric hail-damaged - fixed under insurance.

It was replaced with the EXACT brand and colour of the original. I was in Dubbo and they got it in from the supplier in Sydney.

Cheers - John

we had ours made with our new van about 16 months ago - we had a colour choice.

Guess it depends on what stock of materials the canvas maker has at the time..........

I looked into buying a replacement fabric for our awning, but decided to buy a new awning (the fabric and the roller as well) instead. The colour choices were blue and red from the EBay vendor. We have a blue flash on our van so it was a no-brainer to choose blue. Sad part was that it is dark blue virtually all over, whereas the old one was basically white with blue stripes. It is very hot to sit under on a sunny day, so if you are looking to buy a new fabric, think about colour, and how you will use the awning.
