Not sure about vans but if it was a car you would need a Blue slip and not a Pink slip. Blue slip is a more comprehensive safety/road worthy check.
At least that is what I had to do a few years back

I sold my caravan in Queensland, registered I Victoria. No roadworthy required - just signed transfer papers, and cancelled the registration.

How long ago Jules, if you look on the website in Qld it says you have to supply a Qld safety certificate also gas certificate.

Pailine - If you are selling the van in NSW then you will get a much better price and attract more buyers if it is registered in NSW. Many people (me included) will not even look at a van with interstate registration unless tha van was very cheap. Most buyers (if not all) want a van "ready to roll" without the hassle of re-registering it in their home state which adds unknown complications.
Personally I'd take it to a caravan place and get them to do the necessary inspections and supply the paperwork - most caravan repairers who do this will have the paperwork which you will need to transfer registration.
I would not bother to sell it with Qld registration in NSW even if you can supply a safety and gas certificate because the buyer will then have to go through the hassle of registering it in NSW.
Good Luck
