I don,t have the scan guage,but I do have an obd2 sender and an app called TORQUE. Also,it has a fuel consumptionaddon which works.

What i would like to know is how can i set my gauge to show lt used per 100km,mine currently shows AVG i would like it to read lt per 100

I have a scan gauge ,I have mine set to read water temp ,auto transmission temp,average fuel,fuel used per 100k .To get the LPK just scroll through to get that up on the X scale .Hope this helps . Safe travels

Thank you to all who have responded with your information i have now got lt per100, avg fuel, trans temp,water temp. what else i would like to know is what temp your trans runs at towing and not towing .

We have a 200 series towing a 3.3 ton van ( full time) .In our travels towing the auto trans temp in 4th can go up to 100 plus going up hills but it soon goes down to between 60 -70 deg .Toyota say to tow in 5 th but I find that the temp goes up to 70-80 degs quite easily even on flat ground ,also fuel consumption goes worse as well. So it is kept in sport mode 4th gear most of the time even when no van on temp 55-65 better fuel consumption than drive everything runs smoother ,water temp

I tow with a Sante Fe 2.2 turbo diesel pulling approx 1900kg last year i cooked my transmission towing in 5th on the barkly highway about 50 km from barkly homestead hence the scan gauge. The transmission specialist in Adelaide where i had my new box fitted told me never to tow in 5th gear under any circumstances, always tow in 4th and keep your revs over 2000 this helps the torque converter and keeps your transmission cooler, he also advised not to drive when your trans oil reaches 130 degrees.

The 200 series as a 6 speed gearbox,I have spoken to many people who drive their tow cars in 5 and 6th gears,(also in cruise control)and I have said to them that they are doing damage.It normally falls on deaf ears,so I have found it is best to keep my opinion to myself as it stops me getting in trouble.Also I think that when a lot of these tow vehicles come on the secondhand caryards I would think twice about buying a tow vehicle.

As I said earlier even not towing most of the time it is in sports 4th better temps and fuel economy . Hope this helps Trevor .Safe travels
