hello every one...Karen again after a long spell. Yes still traveling yet stayed at Padstow..NSW for awhile ...Last nite we stayed at a camp ground called Coomburra Valley Campground and cost $28 for two of us on Seniors...a rough road in and it was like concentration camp as far as I was concerned...Quite..Quite Quite was the words written all over the camp area and yes IT was run like a Caravan park. The Lady Deb walked in front of your car to the place you camp...5 minutes for your shower and No Noise..Watched all the time and felt uncomfortable to me...Not had that before in all my many years of travel...Yep 4 caravans in and 2 people said had to stay as they were tired ...No worries I said...In Camp Book...Any way we are after a nice place to stay a few days and are wondering if any one knows a great place with a great price as we have a day pass for the Theme park called Dream world...We are very greatfull for your help and hope your travelling is going well as ours has been up to date.. STAYING.. at First Fleet Memorial park located at Wallabadah NSW..TOILET AND WATER...was lovely near the river also a lot of places to park and the price is a donation in the honesty box located near the garden/toilet area...stayed there for 2 nites ...Happy safe traveling...Karen
Have a look at the Jacobs Well Caravan Park. A short drive through cane fields of the highway. Waterfront. Great little spot and will be quite at this time of the year. I lived in Jacobs Well for many years and can recommend the place.
Deb and her husband are well known at Goomburra - my son was with his inlaws staying there and had the temerity to move a bin closer to their site resulting in a bunfight and them leaving early. Plenty of similar reports about this on Facebook, but it is a beautiful spot.
If you are only overnighting,/staying a few nights and are self-contained, pull into the BP at the Coomera off-ramp - big sign for Service Centre or some such. Grass area near driveway, very quiet. And free.
