Grumpy Old Men

On the recent ''Why Is It'' thread it was mentioned about older men in general being grumpy. I did some research on it & found this most interesting. It may help some members of the forum understand their behaviour.

I haven't found many of the men on this forum to be grumpy - occasionally you get one, but not often, sometimes we (as a people) take things personally and find offence in it, I try and not see offence in any post.

I'm a grumpy old man because theres no mention here of all the grumpy old women !!

Go work in retail and the older "ladies" are much more abusive than the men and in fact its usually both males and females in their 40s range who are the worst - not the geriatrics

My wife Joy reckons force yourself to smile all day long - don't let the corners of your mouth droop so you look grumpy and the result is most if not all people see the smile and then feel at ease. Works with dogs as well.

Good Luck.

This is a fact of life (for me at least)....

When I was younger my level of tolerance for goats and fools was much greater. I would sit with them, drink with them and listen to their mouths frothing on. I was probably an idiot too.

Middle aged I had my kids and bugs bunny, cabbage patch kids and barbie to contend with.

As a 65 year old, Im no longer interested in gabble. My grandchildren give me my new share of jibberish and gabble (although I love them to bits in small doses) If that makes me grumpy so be it..

Grumppppppp lmaodisbelief

HEY!!!! I just had a thought... It could be the male menopause, or male PMS or.... just plain aaahhhhhhhhhhhh madness..furious

how can we be grumpy old people (not just the men) when we can take the p*** out of ourselves as we have above lol

Maybe we don't take ourselves and what life throws at us just so seriously anymore because we know too often its beyond our ability to change or control

Its just a nasty rumor from all the other age generations that we're grumpy <grin>

Agreed.....I would never suggest to let's go kill stupid people.....I'm simply saying let's remove all the warning labels and let the problem work itself out.........

I changed my car horn to gunshot sounds....people move out of the way much faster now......

Gone are the days when girls cooked like their mothers.....now they drink like their fathers........

You know that tingly little feeling you get when you really like someone you've just met?........That's actually common sense leaving your body.....

I don't like making plans for the day...because the word 'premeditated' gets thrown around in the courtroom......

Politicians should have two terms:....one in Office and the other in Prison......

You can tell a lot about a woman's mood just by her hands.......if they are holding a gun, she's likely verrrry cross........

We're not grumpy.......the years have taught us to be socially aware....particularly of potential morons which we can generally spot at about 50 paces through our bi-focals..........
