Welcome to the gang Craig, enjoy here and out in the playround.

I have only driven around the area but not actually stayed but would think with a lot of people taking Monday off and Aussie Day being Tuesday turning all that into an extra long weekend, you would stuggle getting a spot on Sunday.

Enjoy the area if you get to stay.

I stayed at friends place at Mystery bay over xmas and new year, and they had a lot of overcrowding, and people were camping on the road verges, leaving rubbish and used toilet paper in the close bush, so Ring before coming as it might be full.

Absolutely pretty spot. The back area in the camp ground is fairly large so you might be ok but long weekend. Thats a tough one. If you go, you will love the beach but the camp crowd will be pot luck.

quick update - arrived Friday around 4pm.

Still plenty of free camping spots. Areas seem quite large. Plenty of shade.

Stayed 3 nights - was busy but def not over-crowded.

Great spot - beaches and walks either side.
