Hi, we live in Redlands area Brisbane (near Stradbroke Island). There was talk of a camp x 2 (one at Cleveland and one at Capalaba). If I can find out any information I will let you know.
Cheers for now Bear and I think Santa has gone home.

I'm currently staying at my sister's place in Sheldon, just up the road from Capalaba, will check both sites out next time I head down there for some shopping. The Pitwin Road site is behind Bunnings and a stone's throw from an Aldi store and Capalaba Park shopping centre, while John Fredericks Park is two stone throws away from the big green shed and close to the Capalaba Tavern. A minute or two's drive up Redland Bay Road will take you to Supercdheap Auto, Autobarn, JB HiFi, Jaycar and Trade Tools, while Cleveland is just 10-15 minutes away if you want to take the car ferry to North Stradbroke Island.

Cheers
Joe

Had a look at the two sites today. Capalaba Regional Park appears to comprise the car park behind Bunnings. Overnight only on Monday to Thursday. Toilets close by but don't know whether they're left open at night if there are any vans staying. There's no shade in the car park but lots of trees and shaded picnic areas in the adjacent park.

In John Fredericks Park, looks like a fairly large grassed area for camping but no specific signage. Couldn't find any toilets that were open, unless they were up opposite the footy fields; toilets in the greyhound racing club area were locked and there was no sign of a dump point. Can stay for three nights seven days a week.

Both sites are close to two two big shopping centres and lots of major retailers.

Cheers,
Joe
