Attaching Break-away cable to tow vehicle

Gday...

A helpful tip on how to attach the break-away cable for the Break-Safe System on your van.

http://www.candm.com.au/the-simple-breakaway-cable-mistake-so-many-make/?mc_cid=cd12dd86d7&mc_eid=9be2872b40

[I put this in General, rather than Techie's or Tips & Ideas as I figure it is general information that will be read in this sub-forum ]

Cheers - John

IMHO this break-away system is a storm in a tea cup. How many caravan in Australia have come away from the tow vehicle and has had the need for said brake to be applied. How does the NSW government justify $690 rego renewal when it is still around the $40 mark in Victoria and is in general under $200 in other states. End of rant.

I have attached a cable at the rear of the spare wheel that hangs down to fix the breakaway cable to.

I don't think it will pull the spare off. biggrin
