This unsubstantiated warning/rumour has been doing the rounds in the USA for a few years, basically an event that never happened , attributed to a product not sold in Australia, nothing to worry about.
It's easy to do a check on Google before making posts like this.
Main thing is to remember to feed any commercial 'treats' sparingly, especially if they have a lot of colouring etc, ensure dogs have fresh water and do not run on a full tummy or they could bloat...

Like humans dogs can have individual intolerance to foods that others have no problem with. After I retired I found out that the well known straps that I used to hand to each of my dogs on my way out were all eaten by only one of them (who never had a problem with them). The other dog did eat one when I broke into small pieces and hand fed, then he promptly threw up! So I stopped buying them and now give both dogs chicken meatballs for breakfast instead, but even tho my older dog likes them, some days he just refuses to eat. I understand. when you get older some days are diamonds and some days are stones LOL
