Might be a bit late posting this and everyone may have plans but Anyone on their own over the Christmas /New Year week who would like to join us you are most welcome to stop over, come up from Perth or wherever, or just call in for a cuppa when passing.
Christmas is a fairly low key event here (there is only 3 of us so we don't go too overboard!!..menu doesn't change all that much but we do use Christmas tablecloth, paper plates and serviettes!!)Bring a plate to share for lunch( and tea will be leftovers!!)
For those who haven't been here before. We are just off Indian Ocean drive between Guilderton and Seabird..12 kms from both.(and are far enough off
the highway not to get traffic noise) Fishing, swimming in sea and river.Only 70 kms from Wanneroo/Joondalup We cannot offer power but have plenty of space (and room for your furbabies to run around),water, septic loo (but no shower so you need to be able to shower, bucket bath etc in your camp area), We have a washing machine you can you also use to catch up on your washing.,dump point. rubbish trailer, all food scraps go straight into the chooks, eggs should be available @ $3 doz, Lots of board games for those who like to play games even some colouring books and pencils as well as a small book shelf swap/take area We have a camp kitchen and a tv. ( area is a bit border line for regular van antenna,( we use sat tv in our van and have put up a tall antenna for the tv in the undercover area and get the normal city channels) .Doesn't take much to stop us working for a cuppa any time. We have plenty of tea/coffee/milk etc but please byo alcohol. In previous stopovers the day seems to morning tea from 9am ish to lunch time, go off and do your own thing for lunch, nanna naps etc, afternoon tea /happy hour from mid afternoon to tea time when everyone wanders off and does their own thing again. a few shared meals here and there. Some go off shopping, sightseeing, visiting family, others stay put and chill out. There is always someone around to chat to , whether it is us or other campers( and if you want to get your hands dirty there is always gardening and watering to be done!!)

I did a day visit to Sue and Phil's today, caught up with them and Tracey, also Jules, Sandra and Darryll for lunch. Sue and Phil are great hosts and very hospitable, everyone is made to feel welcome and comfortable. Carol and I spend a couple of days there about 4 weeks ago and I thank them for their generosity in making there place available for the wayward traveller (in my case very wayward, lol). If you haven't taken their very kind offer up I would urge you to do so, even if only for a day visit, you will not be sorry and may be surprised who you find there
Could not agree more regarding Phil and Sue, and Tracey - fantastic hosts, you are made to feel very welcome, and comfortable.
This is the second year we have stayed at their place, and it only gets better!!!! We now have a flyscreen door on the front of the 'Shed of Knowledge" as someone called it one day - compliments of "the tip shop" and Phil's handiwork!!!!!!
Thanks for having us Sue, Phil and Tracey!!!!

Santa has been and left lots of bikkies and choccies to all, even the dogs got chews.
We all ate too much at lunch. Ham,turkey, corned beef and brawn and salads for mains followed by decorate your own pav and icecream and jelly. Tea was trifle, pav and jelly!!. No one wanted anything else so guess what is on the menu today...yep that's it leftovers!! So if anyone wants leftovers and great company come and join us for lunch today.
We didn't get any takers for travellers to stop in and join us so there were just a few of us, Jules and Billeeeeeee, Darrell and Sandra, us and one of our kids decided at the last minute to join us (and I mean the last minute like 11am!! and he has 4 teenagers).
Sure is nice of Sue and Phil - at the moment there are only the two of us camping, but tomorrow expecting some visitors, some to stay, some just for the day - whatever - we will have a great time with Wombat, Weevil, LenSmith, Travellyn', and anyone else that wants to come up.
And we have others that we love as our good friends who also open their yards for us itinerants, thanks CC - luv ya!!!!!
