I love the heat, it means lots of swimming. I stay home for the next two months to avoid the traffic & crowds. I'm going to a farm stay called Cheery Nomads near Maryborough for new years w'end. You have to book so it won't be over crowded. I booked late & missed out on a powered site, so no aircon, there's a pool so that's a bonus. Cheers Pete

We're leaving the hot, dusty, windy farm at Brookton in the wheat belt of WA on the 20th and spend a few nights with Sue and Phil (surfil) before house sitting in metro Perth. We're actually looking forward to walking through shops and shopping malls and all that city stuff that we all want to get away from. A month of air con, Foxtel, 56" TV and lots of room lol.

The amazing things you see when nomading Australia
Yes, we always do the same. Let everyone else have their fun while they can. The only trip we're doing is to Mallacoota VIC for a week mid January. The rest of the family are camping there like we used to do, we're renting an air-conditioned house overlooking the lake. In February when they've all gone back to work & school we're taking our boat there & staying in the same house for 2 weeks. First caravanning trip 4 weeks to SA in March. Don't you just love retirement. Just come back from a week on Norfolk Island.

we dont travel in the summer months we find it better to stay home with the aircon and pool, we did it once never again, also we found that as we dont use the van on the road for summer we get a cheaper rate on our insurance, which is still fully covered. But for those who do go away in summer all the best to you
