Unreal.....totally, but too clinical. No noise, smoke or oil. Is this the end of Bathurst? Great post.

Gday...

"Electric" racing has begun gentlemen ... and apparently is very successful.

It might be the future ... but I am glad I had enjoyed my past

Tesla is giving it to the oil companies in US too.. He's designed[ or designing] battery packs where you pull in like service station and swap batteries..
Much like LPG cylinders.. My brother who follows him says its a wander he's still alive..

They certainly appear to be an excellent vehicles with outstanding get up and go but I have one very important question will they tow my van cause I don't think I could afford one as a second car.

The really important question is "what size generator and how long do I need to charge it".

Just imagine all those generators running to charge the Tesla's at the outback free camp.

Phantom - there would be a riot if that was to happen, don't you think?  Have been at camps where come 8 - 9 pm, the yelling "turn that f.....g thing off", can be heard all over the place.

Jules, I don't think it would be a problem because, you see, every one will be doing it. Running generators to charge the car batteries will become a way of life.

The noise at night will be compensated by the whisper quiet vehicle during the day and the fact that the battleaxe will be so tired she will be sleeping while travelling and I can get further peace and quiet. Bring it on.

Simple, eh?

Give it a few years. It wasn't long ago when the mobile was just a phone.
